The Greenville Drive come into tonight’s Championship Game 2 match up with Hudson Valley up 1-0 in the best of three series with the title on the line. The Drive can have a Game 3 on Wednesday if they don’t somehow get the win tonight. (Game Thread)

1st Inning
The Drive get all three of the Renegades batters out for a quick 3 up and 3 down inning. The Renegades get the first two batters out but Allen Castro gets a single to left which brings up Bryan Gonzolez with two out. He grounds out to second and its inning one in the books 0-0.
2nd Inning
The Renegades get a runner on at first, but the next batter up hits a ball to left and is out one and the next batter strikes out and that’s two outs with a runner on first. the next hitter Hall hits a double into the left field corner and the Renegades have runners in scoring positions, and the pitching coach heads to the mound to talk Rogers down some. The pitcher throws a strike and its hit to left field for the final out, still 0-0 after the top of the first. The first two batter for the drive strikes out and it’s up to Christian Campbell to get a hit fest going and he strikes out and it is 0-0 after two innings.

3rd Inning
The Renegades first batter up gets a walk and the fans are all over the umpire behind the plate about his calls so far. The next batter up strikes out and we are one out with a runner on first. The next batter up strikes out and the fans erupt cheering and its now two outs with a runner on first with the score 0-0. The next batter hits one into right center for a runner to score and its 1-0 Renegades with two outs and the next batter flies out and we end the top of the third. The Drive send up Jimenez and he hits a deep ball to left and gets a double and up is Nick Decker with no outs. Decker hits a blooper single to left and advances to second as its 0 outs and runners at second and third. Next up is Paulino and he hits a double leading to 2 scores and its 2-1 with no outs and runner on second. The Drive next batter up strikes out, but Castro is able to get one first with a error and we have runners on the corners. The runner on first steals second and its runners in scoring position and Miller up to bat with two outs and he hits a broken bat out and we are done with the third 2-1 Drive in the lead.

4th Inning
The first batter up for the Renegades hits a deep hit to Center and it’s a homerun and we are tied up 2-2 as new pitcher for the Drive Penrod gets rattled early. Next batter up hits a grounder to second and is thrown out at first two outs on the Renegades. The Drive get the next batter out and we get out with two outs. The batter up for the Drive gets a walk and we got a runner on first. Campbell gets up and hits a single to left and we have no outs and runners at first and second. Jimenez flies out so its up to Nick Decker with 1 out. Decker is not able to get on and its two outs and Paulino up to bat with runners still at first and second. Paulion strikes out and we head to the fifth inning 2-2.

5th Inning
Renegades first two batters are out quick and we go to the third batter who strikes out and we are on to the bottom of the fifth 2-2 the score. The Drive now are at bat and we get the first two batters out but Gonzalez hits a single and we have a runner at first with Miller up. Miller hits a grounder to 2nd and is thrown out and we are still tied 2-2 as we head to the sixth inning.
6th Inning
The first batter up strikes out and we have one out and nobody on base. the second batter up gets a single up the middle so it’s a runner on first with one out. Next batter up is stricken out and we have two outs heading to the next batter up. The last batter strikes out and we stayed tied up at 2-2. The first batter up Rosario hits a homerun and just like that we are 3-2 with no outs, Campbell then follows it up with a single and the Drive have some magic happening here in the 6th inning. Jimenez steps up and blast a shot to center, but it’s caught for the first out and Decker is up. Decker hits a single down the right-side line and we have runners at first and second with one out 3-2 Drive leading. Paulino goes up and hits a fly ball to right and its out two. Coffey follows with a hit to center for a out and its on to the seventh inning.

7th Inning
First batter up for the Renegades is out after a fly ball to center, next batter drills one by the pitcher to second and its out two here in the top of the seventh. Penrod strikes out the side and we head to the bottom of the seventh. The Drive are up and first batter Castro gets a walk and its no outs and a runner on first, wild pitch and Castro heads to second with no outs, Gonzalez is able to reach base and the runner also goes to third with no outs and the crowd is really into the game now. Miller is up after a meeting on the mound, he hits a solid single into center and the Drive score another run and its 4-2 with runners on first and third. Kristian Campbell nails a HR and its now 7-2 the Drive in the lead. Jimenez strikes out and its two outs for Nick Decker. Decker steps up and is out and we head to the eighth inning.

8th Inning
Six outs away are the Drive as we start the 8th inning with the Renegades down 7-2 and the first batter up strikes out and its one away in the top of the 8th inning. Next batter up strikes out and the fans go crazy as he is the Burger King K man of the night, and right after that the Drive get the next out and its heading to the bottom of the 8th inning.
