
The Furman Women’s Soccer Team heads into a opening scrimmage with SEC giant Georgia to start off the year at Seagraves Field. This will give Head Coach Andrew Burr a good look at what his team brings to the table for the up-and-coming year. (Live Thread)

The two teams battle it out till the 30th minute when Jenny Jacobson gets a header for the goal and Furman takes the lead 1-0 and the fans are going wild here at Seagraves Field house.

The game goes to the half with the score 1-0, the Paladins on top and feeling good about its chances of stealing a game from the Bulldogs. Addison Corn for Furman had 1 save, Maddie Massie had a shot on goal, and Nieva Gaither had a Assist on goal and Jenny Jacobson got the games lone goal at the half. Both teams have 3 fouls going into the second half of the game, Furman also had 4 corner kicks to Georgia’s 2.

After the half Georgia comes out and gets a score in the 13th minute when Tori Penn scores and its now 1-1 and Furman needs to get the offense going again vs, the SEC foe. Furman would go on to tie the Bulldogs after a huge 13 shots on goal in the second half by Georgia. The Bulldogs would lead 5-4 in corner kicks and fouls 8-6, with Furman taking the Saves on goal 5-0.
