The Greenville Drive (32-26) after last nights loss, now are on a losing streak and need to get back in the win column to stay atop the league vs. Greensboro Grasshoppers (32-24). The Drive put Dalton Rodgers on the mound to face Thomas Harrington of the Grasshoppers in a pitching duel.

The Drive then in the second inning with two outs get yet another homerun when Miguel Ugueto nails one over the left center field wall and its 2-0 Drive as the fans are into the game, and pitcher Dalton Rodgers is throwing a gem of a game.

Then in the bottom of the fourth with two outs, Alex Erro with bases loaded hits a shot into center scoring 2 RBIs and then stealing second in the process to make the score 4-0 Drive to end the fourth inning. Left Fielder Miguel Ugueto also was thrown out of the inning for complaining about a strike out and was replaced by Karson Simas.

The bottom of the fifth the Drive with two outs get another run when Ronald Rosario gets a infield blooper that the pitcher sails past the first baseman which allows a runner to get home and Rosario gets to second but the inning ends their, but the Drive take the lead 5-0 over the Grasshoppers going into the sixth inning.
Dalton Rogers was an absolute for the machine tonight. In fact, no one got a hit off him.

The Grasshoppers don’t give in, and in the top of the 8th get a run in to make the score 5-1 when new pitcher Robert Kwiatkowski gives up a single and a run is scored. So we head to the bottom of the eighth inning with the score 5-1.
