Swamp Rabbits Face Off with Ghost Pirates for Seeding in Playoffs

The Swamp Rabbits are in a need for a win to get the 3rd seed in the playoffs as a 2nd seed is more than likely not going to happen. Tonight, they go into battle facing a team that seems to have their number and wants to also improve its rankings in the ECHL.
First Period
The Game starts off like always lots of hits into the boards and lets the fans get into the game quick. The Swamp Rabbits get the first score of the night at the 16:34 mark and its 1-0. Pavlychev scores with a assist from Martin. The Rabbits score again at the 12:29 mark when Pavlychev gets his second goal with an assist by Ierullo and the Rabbits are up 2-0. The rabbits score again at the 9:44 mark as this group is looking to make a statement as Ben Freeman gets the goal with a assist from Ierullo and its 3-0 Swamp Rabbits over the Ghost Pirates here in the first period. The Rabbits get yet another score at the 6:16 mark and have started the blow this game out, as Alex Ierullio gets a score and assisted by Gerads. The Swamp Rabbits now hold a 4-0 lead with 11 SOG compared to 7 by the Ghost Pirates. The end of the first is over and the Swamp Rabbits lead 4-0 after one.

Second Period
Both teams come out with different agendas as the Swamp Rabbits score first with the hat trick going to Nikita Pavlychev, assit to Martin and Ierullo and its 5-0 Swamp Rabbits lead and the Ghost Pirates are in a bad spot. The Swamp Rabbits score again and its 6-0 at the 15:08 mark in the 2nd period. The score goes to Pavlychev as he scores his 4 and ties a franchise record in a game.

Third Period
The two teams come out and this game seems like a tune up for the playoffs for the Swamp Rabbits. The Ghost Pirates due get a goal to keep the shut out from happening, but the Rabbits get another goal and its all over with the Swamp Rabbits winning 7-1.
