The Anderson Trojans #4 ranked men’s basketball (14-0, 8-0 SAC) in a double header tonight face the Catawba Indians (11-3, 6-2 SAC) who are on a 6-game winning streak of their own. The Trojans are led by #2 Rashawn Inglemon and #0 Andre Wright Jr.

The Trojans will start out on fire as Catawba tries to keep up as three-point shots are flying everywhere in this game with Anderson having the edge. Catawba refuses to go down and keeps battling with great FG percentage shots. The Trojans with 11 minutes left in the first half hold a 25-19 lead with #3 Kadyn Dawkins leading the way with 11 points and Andre Wright 5 points. The Indians get battling and getting to the free throw line but can’t seem to get them all in.
The Trojans would extend the lead and go into halftime 48-38 with a 10-point lead over the Catawba Indians. Rashawn Inglemon comes back strong towards the end of the half with 13 points and keeps Catawba at bay. Kadyn Dawkins also had 13 points in the half followed by Andre Wright with 12 points. The trojans shot 63.6% from 3pt range and 51.5% from FG range and 70% from the free throw line. The Trojans will have to clean up its passing in the second half to keep the Indians from coming back.

The Trojans come out hot and with 10:48 to go in the second half the Trojans get hot from 3-point range and now have a 73-60 lead after Catawba had battled back to get with 8-points. The fans and especially the student section have been wild all night and have brought the energy for the team. Kadyn Dawkins has 20 points and followed by Rashawn Inglemon with 19. The Trojans with 6:28 have now opened up a 20-point lead 87-67 over Catawba Indians. The trojans look poised to get a huge win here tonight if they can just keep up the defense intensity on the Indians. The game now with 4 minutes left to play is 93-68 with Anderson playing keep away and scoring at will on Catawba. Coach Williams has this team ready to play anybody anywhere, and the SAC tournament is coming up soon.
