USF last year had a 12-2-5 season, which both loses was against ranked teams (#1 FSU and #17 Memphis) yet was eliminated by East Carolina in its conference tournament on penalty kicks.

Furman in 2024 was 10-7-3 while going 5-2-2 in the SoCon, and returns 7 players this year with 10 starts, plus its defense looks to be the strength with Goalkeeper Reece Dejong. Ava King, Ellie Herrmann, and Katie Bengough leading the charge. Furman also dipped in the portal to add to its offense of Jenny Jacobson and Maddie Massie, adding Bri Pinasco, Emma Sexton, and Briyah Drayton. They also added Aleksia Christian who arrived late this summer from Oklahoma. Furman also added a huge freshman class to help build its future stars of tomorrow. Furman is picked to finish third in the SoCon, but looks to make some noise tonight starting the season versus the USF Bulls.
