Russell Wilson is heading to the New York Football Giants. The 10-time Pro Bowl quarterback is signing a one-year, $10.5 million deal with the New York Giants to become their starter, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport, Tom Pelissero and Mike Garafolo reported Tuesday. Wilson can earn up to $21 million on the deal with incentives, The Insiders added.

Wilson will now fill out — and lead — a QB room consisting of the recently signed Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito. That means New York’s dalliance with Aaron Rodgers has come to a conclusion and the now-former New York Jets quarterback is likely headed to the Pittsburgh Steelers. Wilson, of course, is heading to New York by way of Pittsburgh, where he spent last season — also on a one-year contract. The 36-year-old carved out a stellar decade’s worth of work with the Seattle Seahawks from 2012-2021, earning a Super Bowl win — at MetLife Stadium, where he’ll now play his home games — and nine Pro Bowl selections.

However, he’s now headed for his third team in as many seasons. Last year, after overcoming a calf injury sustained in the summer, Wilson started 11 games for the Steelers, coming on hot and finishing cold. He posted a 6-5 record as a starter with 225.6 yards passing per game, 16 touchdowns and five interceptions. The Giants also just had signed Jameis Winston to the squard and now we have another QB room battle for the NFL.
