Kiley Perry started the onslaught with a first inning homerun after SIUE got on the board first. Kate Stoltzfus then followed hitting a triple with runners on base and Furman led 4-1 as SIUE went to the bullpen quickly to stop the Paladins from more damage in the second. They would add one more run to take a 5-1 lead over SIU going into the third. Caitlin Goldwait then puts up a double which drives in 3 more runs and its 8-1 as SIUE changes pitchers again against the Paladins in the third inning. Angelina Ricciardi while this happens pitches 1-2-3 innings and making sure SIUE doesn’t get back on base. The defense is also playing well as they get out of a bases loaded 4th by pulling a double play and its 9-1 Paladins. The Paladins then added 2 more runs to make it a 11-3 win over SIUE and get ready to meet SEC powerhouse Alabama.
