Tip off in this Big South Conference matchup started out with a bang! PC is coming off of a 2 game winning streak including a big win against UNC Asheville. The game started very fast paced with both teams moving up and down the court at lightning pace! Both teams were trading buckets but High Point started out hot from 3 point line taking an early 9-7 lead with 5 minutes left in the first. The High Point defense would remain intense and PC would continue to struggle to find the basket as the would close out the 1st quarter down 17-9.

The 2nd quarter would oppen with High POint continuing to be hot but PC would hang around with a 3 pointer from Aminata Tal. However, Neavehah Zavala would answer with a 3 of their own and would oppen a 28-14 lead with 6:47 in the 2nd quarter. As the quarter went on the High Point defense would continue to frustrate the Blue Hose and High Point would oppen up a 32-17 lead off of an and 1 for Lauren Scott. The frustration would continue for PC as Elle Southards would be called for a technical foul and would give High Point a 35-19 lead. Pc would close out the 1st half with some momentum after a big time lay up from Daniella Velez would help the Blue Hose close out the 1st half 35-21.

The 2nd half would start out with Lauren Scott continuing her hot streak from 3 as she would knock down 2 three pointers to help High point open up a 42-21 lead with 8:03 left in the 2nd quarter. Presbyterian has definitely been down like this before as they were able to mount a comeback to beat USC Upstate earlier in the season. Page Kindseth would find her stroke in the 3rd quarter as she would make back to back buckets to close the lead to 46-30. Page is coming off a week where the earner Big South Player of the Week honors. She would definitely be needed if PC was going to mount any type of comeback. PC would continue to play tough as Kishyah Anderson would stroke a 3 pointer and we would head into a media timeout with PC still trailing 52.32. High Point’s fquick drives to the lane would be a problem but PC would close out on 6-0 run and cut the lead to 59-37.

The 4th quarter would open up with both teams playing aggresively. Pc would knock down some quick points from Aminata Tal and a 3 point shot from Laney Scoggins. There is no quit in PC as the would cut into the lead 61-44. Everytime it would look PC was getting some momentum that intense defense of High Point would continue to make it tough. They would open the lead back up after Lauren Scott would knock down a couple 3 pointer. This would grow the High Point lead to 65-42. The Blue could could never find their rhythm as the quickness of High Point would be a problem and creating easy shots for them. Turnovers would continue to hurt the Blue Hose. As they would close out with 19 turnovers and would come away with a 75-47 win.

Notable:
Anderson picked her 11th double digit scoring effort of the season finishing with 15 pt and 9 boards. Armanita Tal finished with11 point and Page Kindseth would have 9 point and 10 rebounds.

Coach Sardin and The Blue Hose will try to get back to winning as they travel to Charleston Southern Wednesday to face the Buccaneers. High Point will play host to USC Upstate Wednesday.
