WWE Raw opened this week with Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Raquel Rodriguez coming to the ring to celebrate Liv winning the Crown Jewel Championship. She explained how she’s the greatest champion of all time before Jade Cargill and Bianca Belair made a surprise appearance. They started to argue when GM Adam Pearce came out and announced a battle royal to determine the number one contender for Liv’s title. All the expected women scattered early, leading to a spot where Raquel would try to pull on Bianca’s trademark long hair, all the way from the floor to try and eliminate her. Jade would hold onto Jade over the ropes when Liv would jump onto the apron and launch them both over. This left Iyo Sky and Lyra Valkyria in the ring. The two would have a good exchange on the apron, Iyo eventually winning after hitting a German suplex on the apron.
The next match would be the New Day versus the War Raiders in a tag team match. The War Raiders would control the match early on, displaying great power and tandem moves. Kofi would receive the hot tag and showcase his high-flying moveset to make a comeback. Xavier Woods would tag in when Kofi was not expecting it, causing the distraction that led to victory for the War Raiders.
Next, we would see Sami Zayn and Jey Uso in the ring. Jey would thank Sami for having his back at Crown Jewel but also ask if the kick on Roman was actually an accident. Jimmy Uso would then make his way down to the ring and say it was obviously intentional. Jimmy and Sami would argue before Sami said he can’t do this anymore and walked away. Jey would tell Jimmy that Sami is family and hopes to see him on Friday.
Dragon Lee versus Chad Gable would be the next match. This was quite an explosive match with both men taking some great spots. After a scuffle between LWO and American Made on the outside, Dragon Lee emerged victorious.
The next match was a fatal four-way match to determine the number one contender to challenge Gunther. It would be between Damian Priest, Dominik Mysterio, Sheamus, and Seth Rollins. Things would lead to a spot between former friends, Dominik Mysterio and Damian Priest. Priest would get the better of the exchange before Sheamus got back in the fight. Seth would make his way back in and the ring became crowded with tired athletes. Seth Rollins would seem to be in the driver’s seat when Bronson Reed would ruin his day by attacking him. Reed would go on to attack Sheamus and Damian in the ring, giving him time to slam Rollins through the announce table. Mysterio, who must have been hiding, would try to take advantage, only to be reversed into a chokeslam by Damian Priest, allowing Priest to become the number one contender.
