It’s time for the College Football Playoff teams to start showing the CFP committee why they deserve to be a part of the Top 12 in the land in football. The ACC is hoping to get 2 and maybe even three if the chips fall right for the conference as several other top teams may start eliminating themselves in the next few weeks. here are my predictions for this week’s ACC Games and feel free to let us know what you’re thinking.

Duke vs. #5 Miami
Manny Diaz returns back to a school he coached yet was fired from and left to go to Penn St. When Duke’s coach left, he quickly took the job and has kept the Blue Devils respectable. Miami has an unbeaten record yet has played like they are fighting for their lives with comeback wins and last second luck. It doesn’t matter as long as the W is in your column. They more than likely get another win here as Duke just doesn’t have enough horses to compete with the Canes.

Stanford vs. N.C. State
Not much to talk about in this game, both are struggling and need this win, but the Wolfpack should hold the edge at home and on the field. Stanford has looked good at moments, then look like they should start looking towards next year. They have a punchers chance of an upset, yet this isn’t Rocky.

Virginia Tech vs. Syracuse
Virginia Tech has started to play like allot of people thought they would have done at the start of the season. While Syracuse has struggled to identify what kind of team will show up each week. Virginia Tech keeps its winning ways and slim chance of an ACC Championship birth alive.

North Carolina vs. FSU
Mac Brown has a horrible record versus FSU, but FSU is not the same team that has had a chance to be a top team in the ACC anymore. North Carolina has also struggled this year and hope to just salvage a win here to save its toured season. FSU will be making a huge decision soon on Mike Norvell as its head coach as this has now proved that portal happy teams don’t always work out.

Louisville vs. #11 Clemson
This is another game where a team that was picked to be a power has had major struggles, and it’s not Clemson. Louisville was picked to finish towards the top and have a great chance of being in the Championship game versus FSU, yet both have fallen down the hill quick. Clemson has shown after the Georgia loss that they are looking like the Tigers of old. They need to finish out unbeaten to make that claim come true. Death Valley will be rocking Saturday night for this match up this time with no Watson or Jackson at QB. Clemson wins by double digits and moves on to be a top ten team in the polls.

#18 Pittsburgh vs. #20 SMU
This will be the ACC game of the week in my opinion as both teams are good enough to get the win. Pittsburgh will need to show toughness to stay in it till the end, as SMU is known for its late game heroics. SMU will need to keep the score close till the end to have a chance as Pitt will explode out ahead if they don’t watch out. My prediction in this game is a gun fight in Texas with Pittsburg getting a 27-24 win with a last second field goal to remain unbeaten.
