Furman Women’s Soccer (4-4-2) took a trip to Macon to face SoCon rivals Mercer Bears (6-2-2) in a SoCon battle the first for both. Furman Women’s Soccer hoping to make a statement against a top tier team in the SoCon, was able to come away with a draw 1-1.

Furman starting the night off with a score first when Nieva Gaither dribbles through the midfield and unleashes a left-footed strike to put the Paladins in front, 1-0, in the 14th minute! Furman takes the 1-0 lead, and it will last through halftime and until the 70th minute as the Bears even it out 1-1.
