Kentucky Volleyball had a top ten matchup at home in Historic Memorial Coliseum Friday night against Penn State. The match started well with the Cats taking an 2-0 lead, but the seventh ranked Nittany Lions fought back and overcame the early deficit to win the match 3-2.

The Kentucky Invitational continued over Saturday and Sunday with the Cats getting two much needed wins after the tough loss. First, was a straight set 3-0 win over James Madison (2-1) on Saturday evening at home. Brooklyn DeLeye had12 kills in the win.
On Sunday, the Cats took on the Ball State Cardinals (2-1) of the MAC. The Wildcats controlled the match early taking the first set 25-17. The second set was back in forth with the Kentucky getting the edge late to win 25-21. The Wildcats once again won in straight sets to take two out of three at home this weekend.

Deleye led the Cats with 14 kills on Sunday with freshman Bultema having eight. Megan Wilson added 9.5 Points on the day, Tuozzo had 22 digs and Grome added 37 assists.
Over the weekend, Brook Bultema, Erin Lamb, and Megan Wilson emerged as good opposite side pieces to give the Wildcat attack a much-needed boost going forward. Coach Skinner and his Cats have national hopes to continue their seven-time consecutive SEC Championships and more. Molly Tuozzo is settling into her Libero role as All-American setter Emma Grome and SEC Freshman of the Year Brooklyn DeLeye lead the Wildcats

Kentucky Volleyball returns to action on Friday night in Dallas, Texas as the Cats take on SMU and either Purdue or Houston next Saturday.
