Furman Softball Splits Saturday Games

The #22 Alabama Crimson Tide made sure to quiet the Furman Softball (7-13) bats, while winning 8-0 in six innings. Alea Johnson and Jocelyn Briski came to play and had a combined two hit shutout, Johnson herself fanned six Furman batters over four innings earning her first win of the year.

Game 2 Furman Softball rallied from 5-0 deficit to win the game 10-9 in 8 innings versus the UAB Dragons. The Paladins got two innings of much needed runs in the first and fourth innings, when errors started costing the Paladins runs as they fell behind once again 8-4. The Paladins then answered with 4 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to tie the game.
