We continue our road to WrestleMania, and this episode of Monday Night Raw sheds just a little lighter on the road – let’s review.

Raw’s opening match this week featured The New Day teaming up with “Main Event” Jey Uso in a 6-man tag match against Imperium. This was a really great match, especially by the standards of a free television match. Both teams were very stiff while keeping up a good pace and utilizing smooth reversals. Jey Uso ended up getting the pin on Giovanni Vinci, seemingly building his momentum toward his scheduled match against Gunther for the Intercontinental Championship.

In the next match Bobby Lashley defeated Bronson Reed with a spear to qualify for the upcoming Elimination Chamber match to determine who will face Seth Rollins for his title.

Continuing on, we next saw a promo segment opened up by Cody Rhodes. To summarize, he was talking about his recent announcement of taking on Roman Reigns at WrestleMania but was quickly interrupted by Seth Rollins. Seth, however, was only there to say that he hopes Cody is victorious over Roman, and that he will have his back. This seems to be adding to the storyline where it appears it’s turning into The Rock turning heel with Roman Reigns to have beef with Cody and others. We will have to see what unfolds in the upcoming weeks.
This segment was OUTSTANDING.
Cody Rhodes being billed as the last chance to take everything from Roman Reigns cemented for me that the story will be finished.
Seth Rollins saying that he was the only man uniquely suited to be Cody's shield is one of the coldest lines I've ever… pic.twitter.com/0pu0BrB5Nv

Of note, Liv Morgan did defeat Zoey Stark to qualify for the Elimination Chamber match. She joins Becky Lynch and Bianca Belair as the confirmed entrants.

LA Knight also earned his way into the Elimination Chamber match, with a very quick victory over Ivar near the end of Raw.

The main event of this episode featured Sami Zayn taking on Shinsuke Nakamura. They were having a solid match until Drew McIntyre decided to make an appearance. Sami was distracted and Shinsuke was able to take advantage and get the victory. This all led to Drew and Shinsuke teaming together in an attempt to beat-down Sami after the bell. This plan was quickly spoiled by Cody Rhodes was saved the day – preluding his match against Drew McIntyre next week on Raw.
