Kentucky dominates Vanderbilt in Nashville on a night Rob Dillingham, Antonio Reeves, Justin Edwards all had big nights. Kentucky also held Vandy to 38% shooting from the field. The Commodores ran into a buzzsaw tonight in Nashville as the Wildcats also got great bench production from both Big Z and Jordan Burks.

The Cats will now focus on a big tilt Saturday with Gonzaga coming to Rupp. Kentucky finally wins a game without DJ Wagner, also Tre Mitchell was out as well with a back injury and others stepped up to get the win on the road. Wagner is expected back Saturday in hopes of getting this team back and healthy again, along with Tre Mitchell.

Rob Dillingham was on fire early along with Antonio Reeves and the Wildcats never looked back. Kentucky’s defense has been the biggest concern during the season and tonight you saw glimpses of the defense doing some good things and not so good things. If Kentucky wants to be a national title contender the defense has to play better down the stretch and into March for post-season play.

Just for one night though the Kentucky team we all expected all year showed up. Can it happen again Saturday in a huge home tilt and quad 1 game in Gonzaga? Let’s hope.
