WWE Survivor Series is Saturday night and with some last-minute changes, title shots, and two war games matches, we are in for a treat.

First let’s take a look at the Intercontinental Championship match between the champion Gunther and the challenger, The Miz. Gunther is making his claim as the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time, and has been doing a great job proving so. The Miz has taken this personally and has a claim to have at the very least, elevated the title (white strap anybody?). We have to give the mic talent edge to The Miz while I feel Gunther is clearly the better in-ring talent. There haven’t been too many opponents for Gunther that have been taken seriously as a contender. While The Miz is a future Hall of Famer, I think this is a good veteran name from the WWE for Gunther to add to his resume and continue his dominant reign.
One of the matches that I’m looking for at Survivor Series is Gunther vs. The Miz.
The story about the most prestigious title in WWE is so good. It’s also not just about Gunther vs. Miz. It’s about:

Next up in the Women’s Championship is on the line as WWE newcomer Zoey Stark takes on the dominant champion Rhea Ripley. Zoey Stark may be new to WWE eyes, but she is no rookie and is honestly already one of the better in-ring talents in the WWE women’s division. That being said I cannot sit here and tell you that I think WWE will book her to dethrone Rhea, at least not in this spot/not yet. Zoey has yet to be booked into a spot where it makes sense to give her the title, and Ripley’s reign has been on too much of a roll to just halt it here. While I believe this might be the most talented wrestler Rhea has faced, I predict she continues on as champion.

Continuing on we wind up at a last-minute change, as Dragon Lee is now set to face Santos Escobar. Santos has turned heel and seems to either be breaking up or leaving LWO. Carlito was the original opponent but was injured on Smackdown as Dragon Lee came to his aid. This has changed since my more opinionated podcast “The Wrasslin Corner” aired on Thursday and has made me reconsider more than you might think. I first thought Santos Escobar would defeat Carlito (Carlito knowingly and willingly putting him over) to set up a match against Rey Mysterio. Now that all still may happen, but the match is totally different now. WWE has been trying to push Dragon Lee as of late, so I am interested to see the outcome of this match. I think Dragon Lee and Santos Escobar will actually put on a better match than Carlito would. This may actually be the match with the most pace and action of the night. While I personally think if WWE wants to give Dragon Lee a push this may be the big name to have him shock the world and win, I am predicting Escobar wins in a dirty way and it continues his feud with other members of LWO.

War Games! Cody Rhodes, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Jey Uso, Sami Zayn, and Randy Orton vs. The Judgment Day (Damian Priest, Finn Bálor, “Dirty” Dominik Mysterio, and JD McDonagh) and Drew McIntyre. Of course, the main story is the returning Randy Orton, who has yet to show his face. It is going to be great to hear how loud of a pop he will get when he finally does slither his way onto our televisions. I am also looking at all the names on the babyface team who shouldn’t be taking that L. We can’t have the returning Viper and the WWE Champion lose in the same match. I am seeing a match where both teams leave it all in the ring, but I think it clearly ends with an RKO to either Dirty Dom or JD McDonagh.
I’m so glad they went with the match they did for the men’s War Games and not “Raw vs SmackDown” just for the sake of doing it. This story has depth and has been building between both teams. Triple H continues to cook. I’m so excited! #SurvivorSeries #WarGames #WWE pic.twitter.com/M1LDmtgRU4

Don’t forget the other War Games match, Bianca Belair, Charlotte Flair, Shotzi, and Becky Lynch vs. Damage CTRL (Bayley, Asuka, Iyo Sky, and Kairi Sane). I personally found this match to be one of the more difficult predictions of the night. I’m boiling it down to this; does Damage CTRL continue on to be a dominant faction or does something happen to make Bayley look bad and cost her team the match. I think people may underestimate the high-spot potential in this match. I think any of Asuka, Iyo, Kairi, Bianca, or even Charlotte may create some high danger spots. For an official prediction, they teased it earlier in the week. Bayley does seem to be on the way out of Damage CTRL and what better way to drive the wedge than costing the victory at Survivor Series.
I am the only women who had participated in every women’s War Games matches in WWE history.
I know everything that goes on in the cage…

That’s a wrap on the subject to change card of Survivor Series. Let’s all look forward to the danger of the War Games, the great Intercontinental picture, some high flying lucha action and much more!
