Quote from Coach Averill
“It was everything we would expect from a classic Wake, Carolina matchup. Wow both teams seriously battled and both teams took advantage of opportunities. I’m just very grateful that we created those opportunities for ourselves. I thought our defensive penalty corner unit stood really tall. Ruby had an unbelievable save there at the end. That goal by Bianca that was fed by Lena is absolutely world class. Just really proud of our attack penalty unit. Our press was excellent and that led to us being able to play intercepting hockey which is awesome. Mia was fire.”
