Two Deacs Earn Preseason All-ACC

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Wake Forest field hockey student-athletes Mia Schoenbeck and Mia Montag were selected to the Preseason All-ACC Field Hockey Team as announced by the league office on Friday.

Schoenbeck earned her third straight Preseason All-ACC after being awarded All-ACC First Team and ACC Player of the Year during the 2025 season. Montag earns her first Preseason All-ACC after being named ACC Defensive Player of the Year and All-ACC First Team during the 2025 season.

Schoenbeck is one of just five athletes on the list to repeat on the Preseason All-ACC Team.

Schoenbeck, Montag and the rest of the 2026 Wake team return its top five-point scorers from the 2025 season. All five student-athletes who reached double-digit points return, as Schoenbeck (51), Lauren Storey (34), Montag (28), Sarah Mudd (18), and Faye Janse (14) look to build on last season.
Fans will have 10 opportunities to see the Demon Deacons in action at Kentner Stadium during the 2026 regular season. Wake Forest opens the 2026 home slate against Iowa on Friday, August 28 at 6 p.m.
