Greenville, S.C. – Furman head coach Bob Richey has announced the addition of forward Nikos Koulisianis to the Paladin men’s basketball roster for the 2026-27 season.
A native of Brno, Czech Republic, the 6-foot-9 Koulisianis played last season for Montverde Academy in Florida. He helped lead his squad to the Nike EYBL Scholastic regular season title and a second-place finish at the Chipotle Nationals while earning EYBL Scholastic Honor Roll accolades.

“We’re thrilled to welcome Nikos to the Furman family,” said Richey. “He’s competed at one of the premier high school basketball programs in the country at Montverde, where he’s been surrounded by elite talent and championship expectations every day. Coming from the Czech Republic and embracing the challenge of playing at the highest levels of international and American basketball speaks to the kind of competitor he is. Nikos has tremendous upside, and we believe his versatility, skill set, and team-first mentality make him a perfect fit for our culture.”
Koulisianis averaged 14.5 points and 5.8 rebounds per game in the U-18 Eurobasket League last summer while playing for Czechia’s U-18 team. He also ranks as the youngest player ever to play in the Czech men’s Chance NBL.
