Former Michigan RB Joins Paladins
GREENVILLE, S.C. — Furman head football coach Clay Hendrix announced today the addition of graduate transfer running back C.J. Stokes to the Paladins’ program.

Stokes, a 5-foot-10, 200-pound Columbia, S.C., native who has two years of eligibility remaining, spent the 2022 & ’23 seasons at Michigan and the last two years at Charlotte, where he saw action in eight games, made three starts, and totaled 55 carries for 182 yards and two touchdowns.

He rushed 55 times for 273 yards and a score as a freshman at Michigan and was a member of the Wolverines’ 2023 national championship squad. He earned playing time in 14 games over his two years in Ann Arbor.

Stokes starred at Hammond School as a prep, serving as a team captain his senior year in helping his squad to a fourth consecutive state championship.
