Tigers Women’s Lacrosse Defeats Seminoles 16-7 in Season Finale

Clemson Tigers Women’s Lacrosse (13-4, 7-3) faced off in Tallahassee Florida vs. Florida State Seminoles (4-12, 0-10) and was able to get a 16-7 victory and never trailed the entire match in any period. The win was #50 for Coach Allison Kwolek in just her 4th season.

The Seminoles jumped out to a 2-0 lead, but the Tigers stormed back with 4 straight unanswered goals in the first period of play. Brooke Goldstein scored the first two of the periods, with Emma Penczek and Regan Byrne finishing out the period.

Clemson would start off the scoring in the next period when Marleigh O’Day scores and take a 5-2 lead before FSU would get 2 straight goals to battle back to 5-4. The Tigers would strike back and we would go into halftime withe Tigers ahead 8-6.

The third period would belong to the tigers as they would get 3 goals and take a 11-6 lead heading into the last period of play. Marleigh O’Day scored two of her four Tiger goals, and Clemson is rolling.

Clemson would score 5 more goals while only allowing FSU 1 in the final period, getting the huge win as they wait for ACC Tournament play.
