Pioneers Finish Spring Break Trip with 11-0 Victory Over Gwynedd Mercy
The Spartanburg Methodist College softball team wrapped up its Spring Break trip with its second straight five-inning victory, routing Gwynedd Mercy 11-0 on Tuesday.
The Pioneers finished their games at the North Myrtle Beach Sports Complex with a 4-1 record during the trip and improved to 15-2 overall on the 2026 season.
Against Gwynedd Mercy, SMC scored 11 runs on 13 hits. In the circle, Bailey Kiser earned her eighth win of the season, limiting the Griffins to just two singles in the fifth inning while keeping them off the scoreboard.
After a scoreless first inning, the Pioneers broke through with two runs in the second, added five more in the third, and plated four runs in the fourth to seal the five-inning victory.
Saleena Rollins led the 13-hit offensive effort with three hits and two RBI. Ashlynn Watts and Alex Stuckey each added two hits in the win.
