Gwinnett starter Lucas Braun cruised through 4.0 scoreless innings before surrendering a two-run homer to Trevor Hauver (1) that tied the game at 2-2 in the fifth. In the seventh, Hauver struck again with an RBI single off Dylan Dodd to put the Express ahead 3-2. Noteworthy: In addition to being Gwinnett’s first-ever game in Texas, it also marked the franchise’s first time facing a team from the Pacific Coast League. It was the third road opener in Gwinnett history to go to extra innings, first since a 10-9 win in 12 innings on May 4, 2021 at Charlotte. Jarvis’s leadoff homer – Gwinnett’s first since Jarred Kelenic on on July 13, 2025 at Indianapolis – extended his hitting streak to four games (.438, 7-for-16, 1 2B, 1 HR, 3 RBI, 1.214 OPS).
