the Furman Paladins and Clemson Tigers came together for the first of four spring games for both teams at Timmons Arena the new home of Furman Volleyball next season. Both teams have a great chance to go far in their respective conferences. Though this game is more of a chance to show both teams where they can improve over the summer, it still will be very completive.

The First Set the two sides was playing a great game of back and forth, as Furman was able to tie it up at 16 but eventually lost to Clemson 25-21. Great first set for both teams. The star for Furman was #20 who is showing could be a dominate force come next year. Clemson had several stars standout and played well once with the lead.
Set two the Paladins jump out to a 7-3 lead over the Tigers behind some solid defensive digs, and great play at the net. The Tigers would then battle back and keep Furman within two points. The Paladins would jump back out to a 6-point lead 17-11, yet once again the Tigers would fight back and close to within 3 sending Furman into a timeout. Furman would take the second set when the Big 3 #20, #12, and #9 in the Paladins lineup crush it home.
The Paladins once again in Set 3 jump out to a lead but this time Clemson ties it up at 3-3 and refuses to let the Paladins do like in set two. The Paladins and Tigers battle neck and neck to a 19-19 tie before the Paladins take the lead again, the Lady Paladins are giving Clemson all they can handle in this first test of the spring. Furman wins set three 25-22 and now have won the last two sets over the Tigers.
The Tigers in set four start to get back to its first set play and by the time we get to 17-13 the Tigers are in command over the Paladins. Lots of rotation by both teams during this spring game, and both teams should see where they need help before the next game. The Tigers show they came to win in the fourth set and win 25-19. The Tigers would hold on for the set 4 win and split the spring game with the Paladins 2-2!
