The Bucs hosted the Hokies from Blacksburg on Tuesday, March 24th. ETSU coming into this matchup was 16-6, meanwhile Virginia Tech was 12-10. First pitch was at 5pm.

Starting out the scoring was Virginia Tech, with a run in the second from Lutterman. Additionally the Hokies scored in the third to make it 2-0, with a score from Petrich. However, The Bucs responded in force in the third inning. A Palmer and N Conner both scored from a double by H Ferguson. Additionally, T Curless singled up the middle and sent Ferguson over home plate.
Bottom of the fifth inning also saw lots of runs. T Curless homered out to left, sending Ferguson and Conner home, driving up the score to 6-2 Bucs. Matlock also homered in the 5th, making it a 5 run game.
The Hokies responded in the 6th with a run from Gates, by way of a double from Gibson. Additionally, Virginia Tech scored in the top of the 7th. Lutterman hit a fly ball to left field, allowing Grube to score making it a 7-4 Bucs. This was the end of scoring for Virginia Tech, but not The Bucs. In the 8th, The Bucs scored 2 runs. One from A Hill by way of Connor’s double. Another by way of Palmer off of Ferguson single to right field.

This weekend, ETSU is set to host VMI on March 27th at 5pm, March 28th at 2pm, and March 29th at 1pm.
