The Anderson Trojans Men’s basketball team (24-2, 18-2 SAC) try to hold on to its top spot in the conference when they face Lenoir-Rhyne Bears (22-6, 16-4 SAC) in Abney Athletic Center in Game 2 of the series today.

The Trojans start off fast, but the Bears climb back in the game and lead at the 8:41 mark 26-25 as the Trojans are still playing great defense, just masques on shots going in cost them. Andre Wright Jr, and Osmar Garcia are tied with 6 points apiece at this point in the game for the Trojans. The Trojans with 3:40 left in the first take the lead back on a steal and layup by #23 Osmar Garcia and its 37-36. The Trojans would go into halftime with the lead 48-43 as its star shooters start hitting buckets and causing havoc with Bear players.

The Trojans come out of the locker room on fire and at the 15:35 mark, is ahead 60-57 with the Bears staying close enough to keep them guessing. Star freshman Rashawn Inglemon is the leading scorer with 15 points at the media timeout with Osmar Garcia at 14 points, and Kadyn Dawkins with 13 points. The Bears are led by Tyler Burraston with 12 points, and Julian Dozier with 10 points. Just under 13 minutes and the Trojans get some huge baskets to pull out to a 68-59 lead over Lenoir-Rhyne.
The Trojans with just 1:36 left in the game hold on to a 81-79 lead after leading by as many as 10 points. The Bears are trying to pull off the upset in front of this sellout crowd and head home with a great win. The Bears tie it up 81-81 with under a minute remaining, Anderson misses the shot and is having a timeout to get its play and defense ready. here we go for all the marbles and a huge win for either team, as the Bears miss and the Trojans rebound with 16 seconds left and will want to take the last shot in the game as Anderson misses and we are headed to Overtime in Abney Athletic center tonight. Both teams have 5 minutes to show who can close it out now.
