Deacs Keep Rolling
The Deacs pulled a big upset over the Clemson Tigers at the LJVM Coliseum last night by a score of 85-77. Wake Forest led for 94% of the game per ESPN stats. This was the third win in a row for Coach Forbes and the Demon Deacons. Clemson was 10-3 in ACC play and 4th in the conference standings coming into the contest. This is also Clemson’s third straight loss, the first such streak all season.

All Around Play
Juke Harris led the way with 20 points on 7-17 shooting with 2-8 from three and 4-6 from the line. Harris also had 7 rebounds and 2 assists. Sebastian Akins had 16 points on 4-7 shooting with a three and 7-8 from the free throw line. Myles Colvin had 14 points on 5-9 shooting while going 4-6 from three. Colvin also had 5 rebounds, 2 assists, and a steal.
Tre’Von Spillers had 10 points on 4-6 shooting and 2-3 from the line. Spillers also added 6 rebounds, an assist, 2 steals, and a block. Mekhi Mason and Omaha Biliew combined for 21 points on 7-8 shooting, 3-4 from beyond the arc, 2 rebounds, an assist, a block, and 3 steals.
Deacs As A Team
The Deacs absolutely shot the lights out last night. As a team, the Demon Deacons shot 55% from the field, 45% from three, and 79% from the free throw line. This is yet another standout offensive performance for Wake Forest in the last couple of weeks. This is also the third time since the Louisville game that the Deacs have either won or tied the rebounding battle.
Moving Forward
Up next, the Deacs go on the road to Blacksburg to take on the Virginia Tech Hokies. The Hokies are coming off back to back losses against Florida State and Miami. The game will tipoff at noon on Saturday on the ACC Network. The upset win over Clemson now moves Wake Forest completely clear of the cut line for the ACC tournament in 13th place. The Deacs are favored to win 3 of the 5 remaining games per ESPN stats.
