The Anderson University Men’s Basketball Program is tabbed for No. 7 in the National Poll for the first time in program history as released on Tuesday by the National Association of Basketball Coaches (NABC) for games through Dec. 21.

10-straight victories by the Trojans makes history for the Black and Gold as they enter the nation’s top 10 for the first time while also recording the best start in program history. Anderson is 10-0 on the season and remain one of only six undefeated schools in the nation.
The Trojans recently defeated Lincoln Memorial in a 78-55 victory for the first time since 2013 to tie the program record and notch their 10th consecutive win. The Black and Gold topped nonconference opponents Erskine, Emmanuel, Eckerd, the University of Tampa and Bob Jones University while also recording victories over SAC opponents Emory & Henry, Mars Hill, Carson-Newman, Newberry and Lincoln Memorial.

“I believe we have the best locker room in the country and that makes me even more proud than the top 10 ranking.” added Williams. “We have a lot left to accomplish. We will continue to give God glory, and will keep working to chase our best. It’s been fun seeing so many alums come back to games excited about what we’re building.”

The Trojans seek to continue making history after the break when they travel to Clayton State for their final nonconference matchup of the season on Wednesday, Dec. 31. Tipoff is slated for noon.
