Redshirt-sophomore goalkeeper Valentina Amaral and freshman forward Kylie Maxwell were tabbed with All-American and All-Region honors, as announced by United Soccer Coaches on Friday. A 2024 All-Atlantic Region team recipient, this marks Amaral’s second regional nod and her first All-American honor. For Maxwell, this marks her first All-Atlantic Region team award.

Amaral completed another incredible season between the posts for the Demon Deacons, starting all 20 matches and helping the squad to six total shutouts. Across the season, the keeper earned a .794 save percentage, which ranked fourth among the ACC. During the 2025 campaign, Amaral surpassed 2,000 minutes in net this past year, earning her a program-best career goals against average at 0.84.

Additionally, the Oviedo, Fla.-native was named ACC Co-Defensive Player of the Week for her performance during the Opening Night clean sheet against SMU. Throughout the 2025 season, Maxwell has been nothing but stellar for the Wake Forest offense. The Langhorne, Pa.-native finished this past campaign leading the squad with six goals, 17 points, and 20 shots on goal, while also sitting second amongst the Deacs with five assists.

Her efforts in the 3-2 victory over No. 9 Duke in the regular season not only earned her ACC Co-Offensive Player of the Week but saw her named ACC Freshman of the Year. Maxwell started all 19 of her appearances for the Demon Deacons and recorded her first career goal during Opening Night against the Mustangs.

In addition to their national and regional accolades, both Deacs earned spots on the All-ACC Third Team, with Maxwell also being named to the All-ACC Freshman Team.
