
The #17 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (9-2-3, 3-2-1 ACC) women’s soccer team travel down to the Clemson Tigers (5-4-5, 2-3-2 ACC) at Historic Riggs Field for a huge match up in the ACC tonight. Wake is one of 8 ACC teams ranked in the top 25 right now in the nation. Wake also has 4 players that was tabbed in the Topdrawer Soccer Midseason Top 100 Rankins.

The first half the match starts off with the Tigers on the Wake side of the field. The first half is just under 30 minutes when Clemson gets the first true shot on goal, but Wake Keeper gets the save and we are still tied at 0-0 with 27 minutes left in the half. The Deacs have been fired upon several times nut have been able to keep the ball out of the goal, just under 13 minutes left in the first half here at Clemson. We make into halftime with it scoreless in Clemson at 0-0 with Wake holding on in a rowdy stadium here in Historic Riggs Field.

The second half opens up like the first yet its Wake putting allot of pressure on Clemson to stop the shots and Clemson is up to the task. The Deacons have their chances yet just seem to not get the breaks they need as Clemson refuses to let them in the net with now under 28 minutes left in the game. Clemson is finally able to get some pressure on Wake but comes up short once again. Clemson scores first with 18 minutes left in the game when #19 JuJu Harris and the Tigers are now up 1-0 over #17 Wake here in Clemson.
