AEW Dynasty is this Sunday, and it’s your typical AEW PPV, featuring numerous title matches. Let’s break down the final stop on the way to All In.
Jon Moxley (c) vs. Swerve Strickland (with Prince Nana) – Singles match for the AEW World Championship
One can expect bloodshed and violence in this one. It’s beneficial that they can put on a good match, to pair with the blind violence (not that they always do it). The Deathriders continue to be booked strongly on TV, and it would be a bigger title drop at All In. Expect a classic, but for Mox to retain.
“Timeless” Toni Storm (c) (with Luther) vs. Megan Bayne – Singles match for the AEW Women’s World Championship
AEW has milked every ounce of Toni Storm’s storyline with Mariah May, so it’s nice to see a new challenger. Megan Bayne is a strong competitor who will have the strength advantage in most situations. With the winner of this match scheduled to defend the title at All In, it’s more likely AEW carries the bigger name (Toni Storm) as champions into the event.
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Ricochet vs. “Speedball” Mike Bailey – Three-way match for the AEW International Championship
This match will have the most exciting high spots of the evening. The AEW crowd seems to like Speedball’s gimmick, and Ricochet has been cutting people up with scissors. Omega is multiple levels above these two on the mic and in the ring. It’s going to be high-paced and adrenaline-filled, but Omega is the clear winner.
Death Riders (Claudio Castagnoli, Pac, and Wheeler Yuta) (c) vs. Rated FTR (Cope, Cash Wheeler, and Dax Harwood) – Trios match for the AEW World Trios Championship
Earlier this week, the Deathriders injured Rated FTR ally, Jay White, which may be their downfall. Cope has tried to become relevant again through FTR and Jay White. The Deathriders will be in line for the win when White has a surprise return to cost the Deathriders the match.
Chris Jericho (title) vs. Bandido (mask) – Title vs. Mask match for the ROH World Championship
Chris Jericho has been champion for long enough, and the 54-year-old should have been putting talent over ages ago. Bandito is a legendary luchador and a former ROH World Champion. Bandito is superior in the ring, and it would seem unlikely he would drop his mask in this spot. If Jericho wins, it will be from outside interference, but Bandido is the official prediction.
Daniel Garcia (c) vs. Adam Cole – Singles match for the AEW TNT Championship
This match lacks any real buildup or hype. Not only that, Cole has passed his prime, while Garcia could use better bookings. It’s difficult to even find promotion for this match on X. With so little behind it, don’t expect a random title drop like this. Garcia is a young homegrown talent for AEW, which they don’t have a ton of.
Will Ospreay vs. Kevin Knight – Men’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarterfinal
Kevin Knight is a standout newcomer to AEW and is in line for the match of his career against Will Ospreay. In the ring, Osprey might be the best ever. He will make Knight look amazing, but ultimately in a loss.
Mercedes Moné vs. Julia Hart – Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Tournament Quarterfinal
The modern-day Hulk Hogan, Mercedes Mone has too much control and is too self-centered to put anybody over. Julia Hart has been in AEW for years, but hasn’t gotten better or stronger. Hart’s aura seems to have left with Malakai Black. This will be an average match with Mone winning.
The Hurt Syndicate (c) vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith – Tag Team match for the AEW World Tag Team Championship
Thrown on the card after Dynamite this week, there are low expectations for this one. The Hurt Syndicate are one of the hottest things in AEW, so there’s no chance of a title change. The real question around The Hurt Syndicate would be MJF’s presence.
