The Clemson Tigers Softball team (4-6, 0-0 ACC) got a much-needed win over Big10 power Ohio State Buckeyes (5-3, 0-0 Big10) 11-3 getting 4 runs in the first, 2 runs in the second, 2 in the fourth, and 3 more in the 6th to get the victory. Reese Basinger pitched 5.1 innings to get the win (1-2) with 2 hits and 9 strike outs, with Brook Meinychuk getting the final two outs in the game.

Julia Knowler had 5 RBI’s with one run and one hit, Alex Brown had 3 runs off 2 hits, as Maddie Moore had 3 runs with 3 hits for the game for the Tigers. Ohio State had jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the top of the first, but Clemson fired back scoring four runs to take the lead back and never looked back shutting out the Buckeye’s and winning by run rule.
