The Catamounts start off with a bang and take the lead up to the 16-minute mark 8-7. Furman starts out Charles Johnston instead of Garrett Hein in the starting lineup, which they do bring in Hein right at the first media timeout. A great crowd has shown up for tonight’s game at Davis Field house on the Campus of Bob Jones University. Furman has been road warriors all year as they await Timmons Arena remodel to be complete for next year’s slate.

Furman battles back against WCU and as we head to a timeout, they trail by 1 point 24-25 after a great run by the Paladins. WCU had some tough luck and bad passing during the run which led to the Paladins getting back in the game. We have another media timeout, and our score is WCU 29-28 over Furman as we have 3:46 left in the half as the Catamounts are playing tough after Furman seems to take the lead to pull away but can’t seem to get the job done. We come to halftime with WCU leading 33-31.

Western Carolina lets Furman get back in the game and we are heading to overtime as its 66-66. The Paladins got some great calls and played great defense against the Catamounts to tie the game. Furman starts the overtime period out with the fans louder than ever and they pull out to a 73=66 lead as the timeout is called by WCU as the fans erupt from the Tom House 3 pointer. Nobody has left Davis Field house as this game has been nuts. Furman is able to hold onto a 84-75 win over Western Carolina.
