The fans are really getting into this game, the Paladins are playing great defense and ETSU who has several great shots are not able to get the goals so far. Furman had two great chances on goal and just missed and ETSU has had a couple chances as well, but Salinas has been on point keeping them out of goal. We have 17 minutes left in the half and we are still at 1-0 Furman leading as several subs have come in the game for both teams.

Both teams come out of halftime firing away and it’s a battle at the 36 minutes left mark. The ref seems to make himself more of this match than needed with several questionable calls. Furman just had 2 great chances to score on a corner kick, but ETSU has kept them out of the net.

Furman gets yet another goal with 20 minutes to go when ##11 Caleb Johnson with assist by #9 Lloyd Wamu Snell and its now 2-0 Furman as they can feel that Championship is coming closer to their grasp. The Furman crowd is making allot of noise and is matching the ETSU energy here at the stadium.

If Furman can hang on to this lead it will be the 15th SoCon Championship in Soccer for the Paladins. The third one played on ETSU field which has been a home away from home field in the playoffs. Furman has less than 7 minutes left to get the win as they seem to be playing prevent on ETSU, allowing the clock to keep going and playing superb defense here at the end keeping ETSU out of the net as Aaron Salinas has been lights out around the net now with 5 minutes to go in the game.
