It’s time for Week 6 of our NFL Sunday Night Football preview series. This time, we will see the Cincinnati Bengals traveling to challenge the New York Giants. The Giants surprisingly come into this game with more wins than Cincinnati—do they have what it takes to come away with another one? Let’s break it down.

The Bengals enter this one at 1-4, despite scoring over 30 points in the last three games. Despite being ranked in the top 10 in overall offense and fourth in scoring offense, they rank 26th in overall defense. Most of their injuries have also been on the defensive side of the ball, but the Bengals are going to have to figure it out quickly if they want to make a serious playoff push.

The Giants enter the game at 2-3, fresh off a 9-point victory over the Seahawks. They have relied on their 10th overall-ranked defense to keep them within 5 points in all games this season, outside of Week 1. Even with their decent defense, the offense will have to improve on its 17.8 average points per game to be taken seriously. They also have some injury concerns in their shallow offensive talent pool, including star rookie WR Malik Nabers not practicing this week due to concussion protocol, and RB Devin Singletary questionable with a groin issue.

Cincinnati may have a questionable defense, but its offense has been scoring at a quick rate, and it’s not as if the Giants’ defense is elite. The Giants’ offense has shown an inability to score all season and has yet to face a top-10 defense. The Bengals’ defense is weak, but so is the Giants’ offense. Look for the Bengals to allow a couple of scores, but it will be difficult for the Giants to keep up with the Bengals’ offense.
