The Southern Conference named its players of the week with Furman having two players QB Trey Hedden and PK Ian Williams, and Wofford DB CJ Coombes. All three had break out games and was given the honors earlier today.

QB Trey Hedden Furman: Hedden a true freshman had two touchdowns in the air and another on the ground. His two passing touchdowns both was over 50 yards showing his deep threat touch, with his rushing being a 13-yard fake out to get in the endzone. He went 20-for-27 in passing for the game against Stetson.

CB CJ Coombes Wofford: Coombes was able to get 13 tackles, with 10 solo tackles and racking up a fumble recovery in the game. He becomes the third straight Wofford Terrier to win the award for the defense this year.

PK Ian Williams Furman: Williams has had a great year so far, yet on Saturday he had a career and record-breaking game. Williams kicked a Furman record 57-yard field goal in the third quarter and had a 44.8 yards per punt average in his punting duties. He also kicked eight touchbacks all went out of the back of the endzone.
