This season at College SportsCast each week we will release our current CFP ranking on Monday before our weekly Tuesday evening The Big Fuss Show. The long awaited 12-team playoff is finally here for 2024. Our ranking will include who we think we be the Group of Five participant in the new 12-team playoff.
The College Football Playoff expands to 12 teams this season. Hear from @ESPN's @KirkHerbstreit and learn how the bracket will play out from the CFP First Round through the 2025 CFP #NationalChampionship, slated for Monday, January 20 at Atlanta's @MBStadium.#CFBPlayoff 🏈🏆 pic.twitter.com/Fd1tbkwy4f

1-4 will be Power 4 conference winners, 5-11 will be at-large teams, and 12 will be the leading Group of Five conference team. Each week we will include at least 2 more honorable mention at-large teams and 2 more honorable mention Group of Five teams.
In week three of college football, we saw Group of Five members Memphis and UNLV make statement wins on the road versus Florida State and Kansas, respectively. Both schools are fighting for that top ranked Group of Five College Football Playoffs (CFP) spot. The Running Rebels come in ranked 25th this week in the AP Poll. The Tigers led the Seminoles from start to finish and handed them a rough 0-3 start for the preseason top 10 team.

Top ranked Texas, Ole Miss and Tennessee kept the throttle on the offense with big wins. Missouri had to battle back at home over a tough Boston College team and top ranked Georgia was taken to the wire in Lexington Kentucky by the Wildcats in a 13-12 win. Arch Manning made a big splash for Texas after Heisman hopeful Quinn Ewers went down early with an abdominal strain. He did not disappoint throwing nine of 12 for 223 yards and four touchdowns, as well as his own scamper of 67 yards for a TD.
Alabama went into Wisconsin and handled the Badgers with ease 42-10. Kalen DeBoer is having a very good start to his Crimson Tide tenure following the legend of Nick Saban. Not to mention Jalen Milroe is playing like a Heisman candidate. On Saturday he threw for three touchdowns and lead the team in rushing with two more.
