Carolina Mudcats Kickoff 2024 Season With Annual Media Day!

Zebulon, NC- On Wednesday, the Carolina Mudcats finalized their preparation for Opening Day with their annual Media Day. The Mudcats gave the local media a chance to meet new manager Nick Stanley and the Mudcats players. During this time, we got a chance to speak with manager Nick Stanley and Mudcats pitcher Bishop Letson. Letson recently checked in at no. 27 on a list of the top 30 prospects in the Brewers organization according to MLB pipeline.
The Mudcats look to improve on the 2023 season that saw them win the second half to earn their first playoff appearance since 2008. The Mudcats ended their 2023 season with a tough loss in the Division Round to rival Down East 2 games to 1 in a series that featured several close games. The Mudcats return several key players from last year, including Daniel Guilarte and Kay-Lan Nicasia, who caught the final out to guarantee their playoff appearance last season. The 2024 Mudcats will feature 6 of the top 30 prospects in the Brewers organization on the Opening Day roster. The team will look to improve on their 2023 results by trusting in their pitching and defense which was a common theme of Media Day. Below is the full Opening Day roster of the 2024 season.
The Mudcats begin with a road weekend series against the Salem Red Sox who are the Low-A affiliate of the Boston Red Sox. This series will last from Friday, April 5th until Sunday, April 7th in Salem, Virginia.
