AEW Big Business opened with the surprise debut of Mercedes Mone (formerly known as Sasha Banks in WWE). She opened with a warm thank you and was greeted with a “welcome home” chant. After the warm-and-fuzzies, she made it apparent she has signed with All Elite Wrestling and has her eyes set on a woman who recently defeated her, Willow Nightingale.

Let the big business continue, Samoa Joe would defend the AEW World Championship against Wardlow. Wardlow would rush Joe before everyone was settled to gain the early advantage. Wardlow would interact with the fans booing him while throwing Joe against the barricade and steel steps. Wardlow was largely dominant for a while, even showing some top rope moves while also displaying his power. The champion would weather the storm and reverse Wardlow into a choke that ultimately caused Wardlow to pass out. After the match, Swerve Strickland would run to the ring with a chain in hand. Joe would roll out of the ring while security would hold Swerve back inside.
Swerve's business with Samoa Joe is NOWHERE from over.

The next match would be a trio’s match featuring The Young Bucks and Kazuchika Okada versus Eddie Kingston, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Pac. The high spot of the match award would have to go to Penta or Pac. In the commotion of a trios match, the ref was distracted for a moment, which gave Nicholas Jackson the perfect opportunity for a low blow. Okada would finish the match for the victory.
PAC and Penta never lost a step with each other.

Will Ospreay would be interviewed in the ring in promotion for his upcoming match against Bryan Danielson in April. Ospreay has been putting on some of the greatest matches in wrestling history, and against one of the best in Bryan Danielson, this match is destined to be a classic.

“Switchblade” Jay White would take on Darby Allin. Despite being heavily taped up from an extreme match at AEW Revolution, Darby Allin showed no signs of slowing down. The speed was there, and he was still taking huge bumps and high spots. Jay White would be in control for large sections of the match, inflicting damage and focusing on the wrapped areas. Darby would really take a beating on his already beat-up body. If nothing else, this man puts his body on the line for our entertainment. After winning the match, Jay White and Bullet Club Gold would jump Darby Allin. The Acclaimed, who have been very friendly, even teaming up with Bullet Club Gold, would run down to stop them from inflicting further damage on Darby. This would prove to be the end of the Bang Bang Scissor Gang, with Jay White hitting Billy Gunn with a steel chair. Pure commotion would ensue between the six, but in the end, it would be Bullet Club Gold brutally beating down everyone with chairs and other weapons.

Chris Jericho would team up with Hook to take on Gates of Agony. The new team of “LionHook” would come out victorious on their first outing against the big brutes. After the match, Chris Jericho would challenge Hook to what seems like a friendly match, which of course Hook accepted.

Willow Nightingale would take on Riho in the main event. They did earn a “this is awesome” chant, but I found the match average. There was a good near fall where I thought Riho won it from a double stomp off the top, but Willow would kick out. Willow would fight all the way back to win via pinfall off of a gut-wrench powerbomb. After the match, the lights would go out, and when they reappeared, Julia Hart was on the ramp. While the two shared a stare-down, Skyy Blue would blindside Willow and appear to be in control until Mercedes Mone would come to the ring and save Willow Nightingale.
