Dynamite’s first match this week was a really great one between Jon Moxley and Dax Harwood. Both men were really laying it in there with great stiffness and false finishes where even the most devout wrestling fan was falling for them. In a bit of a surprise, Dax actually tapped out to Mox, who would not let go after the bell. Cash Wheeler came to the rescue of his tag-team partner, Dax Harwood, only to be surprised by Claudio Castongiolo. Blackpool Combat Club booked to look strong this week against FTR in their ongoing rivalry.
Neither of these competitors are letting up!

Next match on Dynamite was between Adam Copeland and Daniel Garcia. While Adam Copeland is clearly a legendary wrestler and Daniel Garcia is one of the best young stars in the game, this match lacked a little something (it appeared to be chemistry). They didn’t make any glaring mistakes and were still professional, it was just not entertaining and a little off. The ending of this match included Christian Cage ruining the finish, having Killshot (formerly Luchasaurus) and Nick Wayne, lay a beat-down on both parties of the match, causing the referee to call for the bell. This was an extended attack which ended in Christian Cage hitting Adam Copeland with a conchairto. The feud only seems to be adding fuel to the fire in the heat that is the TNT Championship picture.
Christian Cage and the Patriarchy take a piece off of the board.

Samoa Joe opened the next segment, where he was cutting a promo for his upcoming title defence, which lead to both his opponents eventually coming to the ring (“Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland). If you missed it, last week Hangman and Swerve had a #1 contender match which ended in a time limit draw. This resulted in Tony Khan announcing the title match at Revolution would be a triple-threat match. All three of these wrestlers are amazing, but Adam Page and Swerve Strickland seem to be more worried with fighting each other then what they should be focused on, winning the AEW Championship. That would probably be my only negative review as these three men are sure to put on a great match.
Hangman Adam Page wants to sec the record straight about last week!

Also of note, Toni Storm and Deonna Porrazzo cut separate segments, adding to the storyline for their upcoming title match at Revolution.
'The Virtuosa' Deonna Purrazzo kept it super simple.

Following that was some tag-team action. The Young Bucks (who have recently revamped their gimmick) took on Topflight. While you may have seen more from both amazing tag-teams in the past, they still put on a professional match. Matthew and Nicholas Jackson end up winning with their newly renamed finisher – the EVP Trigger. This match was more about what it was setting up – Darby Allin coming out afterwards to make Sting’s final match official. Recently crowned tag-team champions Darby Allin and Sting will defend their titles against The Young Bucks at Revolution.

Willow Nightingale defeated Skye Blue in a match to help determine some order in the TBS Championship picture. It has been a lack-luster title picture of late and seems to need something fresh. The heel turn of Skye Blue does not seem to be catching on, Julia Hart does not appear to be getting much better or stronger, and Willow’s gimmick appears to have gone stale.
Skye Blue probably REALLY hates Stokely Hathaway right now.

The main event of Dynamite this week was Orange Cassidy taking on Matt Taven in a Death Match. These types of matches on regular weekly television don’t always live up to the billing, but this was not the case. Both champions made sure everyone in attendance got their money’s worth using tables, tacks, and more. As the match unfolded both men had help show up. Undisputed Kingdon and Best Friends both being represented in a wild main event. With both men a bloody mess, Orange Cassidy wins via chain-assisted Orange Punch.
Trent Beretta is here to even the odds!
