In the heart of Tennessee, the McCallie Blue Tornado is lighting up the high school basketball scene. Currently boasting an impressive 14-1 record, they’ve emerged as a team to watch, with their eyes set on greater victories.
Their recent triumph in the Best of Preps tournament at Chattanooga State speaks volumes about their prowess, securing a 71-61 victory over Chattanooga Christian. This marks their second tournament win in three years, showcasing the Blue Tornado’s consistency and dominance throughout the tournament.
Notably, McCallie’s only loss this season came at the hands of Pope Prep, but with a remarkable 7-game win streak, they are clearly a force to be reckoned with. The upcoming rematch against Chattanooga Christian on Jan 19th 2024 it promises to be a thrilling encounter, as the Blue Tornado seeks to maintain their winning momentum.
Leading the charge for McCallie are key players like senior point guard Parker Robison, whose strategic decisions with the basketball and sharp 3-point shooting make him a standout on the court. Center Kenneth Chime, standing at 6’8″ with a 7’4″ wingspan, dominates both ends of the court, a pivotal player for the team’s success.
Senior Bryce Kennebrew, a versatile 6’3″ guard, showcases grit on the court, excelling in both defense and get busy scoring offensively as well.
