The Greenville Drive (45-39) are ready to defend home turf this week in a series with our friends up I26 the Asheville Tourist (32-47). The game is under weather alerts of storms and the heat outside for a cloudy afternoon is unreal. (Game Thread)

The tourist get on the board first in the first inning scoring tour runs even as Drive Pitcher struck out 2 batters. The Drive get out of the top of the inning down 2-0 and look to get the offense going in their frame. The Drive in the bottom of the second get on the board with a double steal leading to a score, then Roman Anthony doing what he does best score or drive in runs, hitting a single bringing in Max Ferguson to make the score 2-2 as we head to the third inning.

The Drive get a run in the third and take the lead thanks to Max Ferguson, and the score is now 3-2 as the Drive are in control.

The Tourist battle back and get a run in the top of the fourth to make it 3-3 and we have a great ball game tonight folks. Both teams are giving great plays, as the pitchers dual to keep the other team down. Going into the bottom of the fifth inning the Drive get another run to make it 4-3 when Alex Erro double drives in a run to take the lead.

In the top of the 7th the wheels come off the track as the Tourist score 3 runs to make the game 6-4 and take the lead as the time left to is dwindling down. The Game ends with the score 6-4 in favor of Asheville. See you tomorrow folks.
